No amount of poverty or stress could ever justify abuse. Yes, it's easy to snap and lose your temper when times are tough, but we are adults and have absolutely no right to take that out on vulnerable, helpless children! Why does stress necessarily have to lead to violence anyway? Is that not just an excuse for appalling, uncontrolled behaviour by people who have no right to call themselves parents?

Perhaps what's needed right now is an "amnesty" style service offering support and advice to parents who are having trouble controlling their temper due to stress, where, within reason, they can talk freely about the impact it's all having on their kids and receive the appropriate help.

According to published reports, Barack Obama's legal team has been paid over one million dollars, so far, to STOP anyone from seeing ANY of his actual identification documents, or many other documents:
Actual long-form birth certificate (NOT an easily-forged electronic copy of a short-form document that is not even officially accepted in Hawaii)
Passport files
University of Chicago Law School scholarly articles
Harvard Law Review articles
Harvard Law School records
Columbia University records
Columbia University senior thesis, "Soviet Nuclear Disarmament"
Occidental College records, including financial aid that he may have received
Punahou School records, where Mr. Obama attended from the fifth grade until he finished high school
Noelani Elementary School records, where Barack Obama attended kindergarten (according to the Hawaii Department of Education, students must submit a birth certificate to register — but parents may bring a passport or student visa if the child is from a foreign country)
Complete files and schedules of his years as an Illinois state senator from 1997 to 2004
Obama's client list from during his time in private practice with the Chicago law firm of Davis, Miner, Barnhill and Gallard
Illinois State Bar Association records
Baptism records
Obama/Dunham marriage license
Obama/Dunham divorce documents
Soetoro/Dunham marriage license
Soetero/Dunham Adoption records
By the way, the issue of the Occidental College records is especially pertinent. The United States Justice Foundation (USJF) served officials at Occidental College with a subpoena to produce records concerning Barack Obama's attendance there during the 1980's, because those records could document whether he was attending as a foreign national. You see, Mr. Obama attended the school on a scholarship — and there are questions as to whether the financial aid he received was reserved for foreign students. The Obama attorneys have bent over backward to block us. He doesn't want anyone to see those records. He's STILL trying to hide them; those financial records STILL have not been released.
WHAT is Barack Obama trying to hide? WHAT is he afraid of? WHY doesn't he just release these documents to prove that he is a natural-born citizen and, therefore, qualified to serve as President — especially his actual birth certificate?
Isn't it time we FORCED him to come clean? His "birthday" is the PERFECT time to do it!
I dared bring Barack Obama into court to force him to produce his birth certificate, and put an end to the controversy over his status as a "natural born" citizen once and for all. And now he's coming after me and the United States Justice Foundation (USJF) — the public-interest legal group that I founded over 30 years ago — with a vengeance!
Why? Because we dare to seek the TRUTH!
And they must have something to hide, because Mr. Obama's attorneys have threatened to spend, and then sanction, USJF out of existence.

That's why USJF has started efforts to convince State Attorneys General, all across the country, to investigate whether Barack Obama has committed perjury by knowingly filing false nomination papers… claiming to be constitutionally eligible to run for, and serve as, President of the United States. As you know, the available evidence shows that he was born in Africa.
Frankly, the evidence that Barack Hussein Obama was born in Africa — not Hawaii as he claims — and, therefore, cannot serve as the President of the United States, is compelling.

First, Mr. Obama's refusal to release his birth certificate. If he has nothing to hide, what does he gain by refusing to allow the press to see the birth certificate?
Second, the contention by Barack Obama's half-sister, Maya Soetoro-Ng, that Mr. Obama was born in a particular Hawaiian hospital, only to claim that it was in a different hospital several years later. And, most recently, Barack Hussein Obama has contradicted himself, in writing, regarding the name of the hospital where he claims to have been born.
Third, the erecting of a wall around Barack Obama's grandmother, the late Madelyn Dunham, by Mr. Obama, thus cutting off access to the one person then alive who would have been present if he was actually born in Hawaii.
Fourth, the posting of law enforcement personnel at the two hospitals in Honolulu mentioned by Ms. Soetoro-Ng in an effort to block the press from discovering the truth about the birth certificate.
Fifth, a taped phone conversation with Mr. Obama's step-grandmother in Kenya, who claims that she was present at his birth… in what is now called Kenya!
Sixth, the "birth certificate" posted on the Obama campaign website and other liberal websites. Since Barack Obama was born in 1961, long before laser printers and office computers, his original birth certificate would be typewritten … unlike the laser printed "copy" purported to be genuine.
The evidence demands that Barack Obama answer why he has bee

I ran under this for a couple of years and being late on a payment can be an issue. I usually estimated 35% of my gross pay and sent it in which is high, but you're probably going to get pinched for a late fee, so it'll work out.

Depending on your pay, you will pay anywhere from 21 – 27% in federal taxes and an additional 7% in social security. 35% should cover it well if you've accured any penalties in addition.

Thus, you need to send in the coupons as soon as possible.

Couple of things you MUST realize.
1.You can deduct your health insurance which is a huge facet of being independant.
2. Run, don't walk to your local Fidelity, Charles Schwab, and mention your an independant contractor filing a 1040-ES and you'd like to open a SEP-IRA ASAP. You need to shelter your money big time and you probably can pay few taxes now if you shelter it properly. Although you will pay those taxes when you're age 65, you'll have earned something off of them in the meantime.

The SEP-IRA is the only counterbalance to the life of a contractor – learn it like your name,

The belief that the used machinery sector would prosper in times of economic crisis has been somewhat of a paradox. The economic slowdown over the past two years has had a profound impact on the retail price of new machinery, with reports of prices coming down by as much as 30%. Contradictorily; used machinery prices have resisted falling at the same rate and timing as those of new machinery; hence the gap between the respective asking prices has narrowed, making the price of used machinery less attractive than in previous years. The main reason for this price depreciation is that whilst Used Machinery sellers base their asking price according to the book value; the price of New Machinery is determined according to supply and demand. When … aseptic machinery, technology aseptic, aseptic processing, aseptic filling, CIP and SIP systems, stackers milk, UHT, Pasteurizers, evaporators, heat e

Nah! it's all good.. those series of books were all very well written and not really meant for just kids.. I mean, I see a lot of older guys sitting in cafes reading the Harry Potter series. They're very light weighted and enjoyable for anyone. They're harmless sort to say! Plus, you're still very young and the Harry Potter series is where the kids tend to grow up in each book, so basically it ranges from a young age to more of a young adult age such as yourself. Many young kids can't even understand the last couple of books. I'm turning 18 this year and I love the series! It's such a magical story and it gives you somewhat of a feeling of home. As for the Lemmony Snickets books, I liked the books but the movies were a bit too childish for me. There is nothing wrong with liking things for a young genre… don't let anyone stop you from growing up.. you should be young at heart!

cheers!

A baby ostrich which was abandoned by his mother and dumped in the rain is now being kept company by a soft toy surrogate mum and a radio.
Staff at Folly Farm in Pembrokeshire say this is the first first baby Ostrich to be cared for there, as in previous years rain has hampered incubation with excess moisture in the nests.
And while it was all going much better this year, it looked like it could take a turn for the worse when this 10 inch baby Ostrich left out in the rain by its mum.
However, carers have taken him in and after putting him at ease by placing a slightly taller toy in his enclosure, are now hand-rearing the bird which will eventually be somewhere between 6ft and 9ft tall. Good luck finding a toy that big.

In addition in my lifetime this country has run better with democrats. Does anyone think things would be any better with vice president Palin at the helm along with president switches a lot or maybe president does anything for votes (check out his Arizona campaign its full of inconsistencies)? I don't think so. Liberals are generally more open minded and accepting of the other side (i.e. President Obama's constant efforts to try to get the other side to come around to his health care system and the fact that i accept any way of thinking as long as its well thought out and you can explain it) . Filed under: Hybrid, Lexus, Toyota The Florida Hybrid Center is a pretty unusual dealership. It’s hybrid-only, dealing in nothing but new hybrids from Lexus and used Toyota Prius. It’s also a dealership with a problem, the kind of problem that other dealers would love to have: it’s too successful. Before this spring’s earthquake in Japan, the dealership managed to keep a 30-day supply on the lot, but as deliveries slowed down after the quake, inventory dwindled. With orders going up and new vehicle arrivals slowing down, the dealerships new and used lots emptied out. By the end of April, the Florida Hybrid Center was essentially "sold out." That’s when the manager of the dealership came up with a unique solution: he went to customers who had purchased hybrids in previous years, bought them back, then sold them again. Hybrid owners who had become disenchanted with their vehicles, or who simply wanted a chance to swap for another model, got discounts on trades for new non-hybrid cars….

I didn't get why college was necessary at first (although I always knew I'd go) but after a year I got it and I'm so happy that I had that in-between time to be a kid with some adult responsibility.

It's really more about growing-up and some are just a little slower at it than others, but as long as you get there eventually that's all that matters.

Lots of things figure in to an animal's life span- genetics, preexisting conditions, the animal's general living conditions (ex, a house dog tends to live much longer than one that's kept outside all the time.) and the animal's general physical condition (overweight? too thin?) to name a few. Animals who are fed a good quality food are generally healthier than animals who are fed "junk." But a dog who, say, is genetically predisposed to cancer and whose owner keeps it twenty pounds overweight is not likely to live as long as a dog with a good genetic background whose owner exercises it daily and is a healthy weight.

Your right. We are paying for this advertising. We were also promised that this new healthcare reform crap would not increase the deficit. Well, is everyone who is working on this bill working for free? They have to be if there is to be no more added to the deficit, right? We are spending money on a reform plan that may not even pass. More wasted time and wasted dollars. What's worse is that the bill is so long, nobody knows what it actually says, they don't want to take the time to read and understand. Just skim through and vote. What a joke our system has become. We need some good ol GOVERNMENT REFORM.

"The redesign is not just about design, or paper quality, or our new online navigation, or social media groups. It’s about confidence. A few years ago, The Globe and our printing partners came to a profound decision: that quality newspapers such as The Globe have many years left as a printed product. Our printers, in turn, invested hundreds of millions of dollars in state-of-the-art German printing presses, the ones that reproduced our redesigned newspaper Thursday night in six Canadian cities. Our part of the bargain was to create a newspaper that was equally daring – one that did not seek to prolong the past, but burns to invent the future. We crafted new designs, developed a variety of story-telling forms, took a chance on more expensive newsprint and convinced a great range of advertisers that print is not dead. If done beautifully and intelligently, its latest chapter – a thriving, ambitious, newspaper – has just begun"

I would imagine that you could break the contract since they've already broken their side. Call the gym and speak with a manager. Be very nice and explain the situation. They may already be aware and be more than happy to help. If they aren't then ask to speak with a Regional Manager or high. Just keep going up the chain. If worse comes to worse, you can close your bank account or ask your bank to stop allowing these charges. Good luck!

During Monday’s debate, Mitt Romney kinda sorta promised to release his tax returns in April. Today, he said at most he would release 2011′s returns. So Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney’s big stumble today was saying that $362,000 is "not very much" money, but it came as he was delivering another piece of news: that while he would probably release his 2011 taxes when he files them in April, he won’t release any tax returns from previous years. In a spirited press conference just now in Florence, S.C., Mitt Romney made news on several fronts. Here are the highlights: – Romney said he “probably” pays only about 15 percent in federal taxes because most of his earnings come from capital gains, which is taxed at a lower rate than traditional income. This means the super wealthy Romney pays a significantly lower tax rate than most middle income Americans. – He sharpened his answer on releasing his tax return in April because, he says, that is the precedent and it will enable…

While I enjoyed the Harry Potter books, I found that most books aimed at teens and preteens are really poorly written, have practically the same plot lines and are just bad literature in general.

I first noticed this when my older daughter started reading the Babysitters Club and began to imitate the author's writing style. Then my younger daughter went through a phase where every book featured either girls who were super wealthy or wannabes who dreamed of being able to own and wear whatever the other characters in the books wore or did.

Just walking through the teen aisles in Barnes and Noble makes me want to tear the shelves down. Endless bad books about vampires, vampire wannabes, adaptions from tv shows and absolutely nothing original. I am a big believer in reading, but trashy material scares me and I fear that our kids will only graduate to worse – like Danielle Steele.

Golly. I feel like I'm about to write a Blue Book with that question :-O

But…I think, being that this sounds like some kind of question from a scholarship application, I should think what they would be looking for is someone who has done 'Community Service' without the assistance of a judicial indictment.

Volunteerism is a good example. Volunteering in a hospital for a certain number of hours a week, volunteering as a tutor in Grade Schools or for a Charter programme, working with local Government to help pick up litter or to assist in law enforcement or political events.

These are examples of 'Service' as defined by entities that ask these kinds of questions. So any young person that engages in thes kinds of activities would be considered 'Service Oriented'.

OK, sure, as you say…"whatever" I`m just happy that along with socialized health care I also enjoy better standard of living, better education, lower class disparity, lower infant mortality rate, less racial tension……
