Decided to try using coupons for items on my list…I saved $45.25. That's like buying groceries and getting a tank of gas for free! Woot!
I personally enjoy the taste of Silk Soy Milk. I use vanilla flavored over my cereals and granolas but for cooking and non-sweet use I prefer the original Silk Light Soy Milk.
There is another one that I've used that tasted like regular milk and it comes in a box called Organic Rice Dream in regular. I like this, but I prefer Silk.

Our daughter turned this into a science.
She writes her grocery lists in a stenographer's notebook, so the old lists stay there. Over a period of a few weeks, it's easy to see what items she buys over and over again and what's infrequent or one-time.
She created a spreadsheet, dividing it into frequent purchases, infrequent purchases, and hardly-ever purchases. She noted the regular prices of the frequent items first, at the two grocery stores she shops at, along with the date that price was noted. Gradually, she added what prices the items were reduced to when they went on sale at each store. She also indicates which ones are frequently couponed.
(She used her receipts for this, but you could do it as you shop, noting the price next to the item as you put it in your cart.)
Next she tackled the items she bought less often or hardly ever.
Like her, you'll probably find that noting prices of what you buy all the time lets you learn a better price for that item when you see it.
I dont use Samaba that often but did you try just restarting the samba service after you changed the time? That should rebuild the log file you appear to be missing.
Command line would be
service samba restart

Added – OK, you restarted Samba then the server now no one connects? What does the client get when attempting to connect? Is there an error message? Is the log file still saying its the issue? Look in the secure log on the Gentoo server and see if it is username/password rejections.
Changing the date really should not have ANY effect at all on your samba setup. The clues are needed to assist.

To be honest changing the date should not break your linux machine. Make sure you change the date in the bios before booting the OS. If that does not work see if you can connect to the windows network from your linux machine. use the smb:// prefix to go to the windows networks.

As for internet, I would stick with comcast. A lot of ISPs throttle specific network traffic, thus not providing you with the network speed you purchased.
Qwest is a known culprit of such throttling, but they are too small to get noticed.
Comcast is big, and got busted by the FCC for throttling on multiple occasions a year ago, and under the law, cannot throttle traffic….
DirecTV, as with ANY satellite provider, needs a satellite dish.
If you are looking into satellite provider, go with dish network, since their satellite equipment is universal and interoperable and therefore, actually HAS a resale value.

For some items, like sundries, electronic and meat, Costco beats them both for value. So, I get my meat, electronics and sundries from Costco.

There is nothing wrong with that coupon or using it at Walmart. They will not take HIGH dollar coupons that make items free that are IPs like for a stereo or a camera. BOGOs are always ok. I just bought a game for $5.88, paid .88 bc I had a $5 coupon off coupons.com.
Coupon fraud would be photocopying coupons, creating your own coupons, using the coupon for the wrong item (even if it doesn't beep!).
The Sunday paper is the best source. I don't buy it either. I ask friends and family for their inserts. I clip ALL coupons because you never know what is going to go on sale and make that product dirt cheap or free. Then look at the ads that came with the Sunday paper. A lot of times a store like CVS will have a product on sale for cheap AND you'll have a coupon for it making it a great deal. There are also websites where you can print legit coupons.
I joined swagbucks. It's a website that you use like a search engine to earn points which you can turn into money/gift cards. They have a coupon section too, where you can print coupons, use them and earn swagbucks for using them.

have you looked at destinationwedding.com? they have a million threads on OOT bags..and personal reports on what was useful and what wasnt. eg if its abroad, some people have a list of useful sayigns/words that could help when theyre there, even if staff speak english

you know what i love but cant do since i dont live in US – the personalised M&Ms. its good chocolate and you can put either a photo (faces close up) or a message on them. actually i think they might be quite expensive though

ooh and cards can be a great gift (you get the front card saying your wedding and date). its not an edible thing..but a lot of people use it AND its kind of related to las vegas (er vaguely…with casinos and stuff. im sorry, im english so im not very experienced with las vegas stuff)
edit – with absolutely no disrespect intended to the other posters..the majority of people go on holiday with toothpaste. granted, 1 or 2 people *may* forget it, but the majority will look at it and just be like "er great, thanks! toothpaste…awesome gift" i think you can assume adults will bring toothpaste and soap by themselves
